Social worker Vijay Iyer is a well-known name in the field of social service in Bhopal. During the COVID period, he gained recognition as a “Corona Warrior” by sanitizing 20,000 homes in Bhopal free of cost and providing ration, medicines, healthcare support, and hospital admission assistance to more than 2,500 people. His work was appreciated by the then Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and he was honored with several Corona Warrior awards.
Through many creative initiatives such as Scooter School, Education Express, Winter Express, and Stationery Express, he has spread the light of knowledge to needy senior citizens, the sick, and poor students. He has renovated more than 20 Anganwadi centers in Bhopal and transformed them into play schools. He also operates India’s first “Moving School – Shiksha in Rickshaw.”
Through his Digital Education Mission, he has educated more than 5,000 children. For all these remarkable contributions, he has been honored with several national and international awards, including the Excellence Book of World Records (London), Samaj Shiromani Award, Excellence Permanent Project Award, Lions Club Corona Warrior Award 2022, and many other prestigious honors.
